Reviews: Tacama Seleccion Especial
Tacama Selección Especial
Tacama´s pride. Its particularly seductive robe of dense red with striking
purple reflections expresses its high concentration. Extraordinarily intense and
complex bouquet. It evokes fruits, plums, liquorice, with predominance of
perfectly ripened grapes; and it has peppery notes that enhance its richness and
brilliance. A tasting of Selección Especial is unforgettable. Its strength and
concentration are worthy of the best wines.
At the same time, its balance is perfect. The tannins are well-wrapped and not
at all aggressive. With is long, aromatic finish, this wine is a huge success.
It is made from the varieties of Tannat, native to the southwest of France, and
Petit Verdot from the Medoc. Tacama selected these varieties for their
adaptability to the sunny climate of Ica, where the Petit Verdot achieves an
excellent degree of maturity.
Percentage of vine stocks that compose it : 65% tannat, 35% petit verdod.
