Finca El Origen
Finca El Origen began in the 1990s, when Chile’s Santa Carolina Winery decided to expand its vitivinicultural activities into Argentina. In 2002, the company began marketing the first wines under Finca El Origen label.

The Winery
After the formation of the great continents 120 million years ago, part of today’s Andes Mountains were under water, which explains the existence of fossilized sediments in Mendoza’s vineyards, more than 1.000 meters above sea level.
Perpetuating the image of the origin of life, fossils such as ammonite are silent witnesses to a long and fascinating past.

Without a doubt one of Mendoza’s most promising areas, the Uco Valley sub-appellation lies southeast of the regional capital, between 33° and 34° latitude south. The Andes Mountains marks the western limit of this viticultural zone and is the landscape’s predominant feature.

Finca El Origen acknowledges the mystical originating force of the Andes Mountain Range that gave rise to the geological formation of our exceptional terroir.
